For the past 4 years we are earing the that next jump in wireless in going to be wimax (802.16) and every few months i see some press release that someone broke the record of speed/distance in wimax, that wimax phones are just around the corner and that it's much better then 3 generation.
The problem is that even the 3g devices are not selling as the manufacturers and operators predicted because allmost no one use the so called 3g features.
So who need a wimax device that companies like alvarion are talking about?
Untill there will be a killing high bandwidth mobile application (and don't tell me TV because no one is using his cell phone for TV) there will be no need for wimax devices out there (i all ready mentsion what i think about the mobile web in previous posts).

Their is too much choice + cost spoiles technology, no one will fully utilize the benfits of WiMAX or 3G fully if they charge for it!
change it to what?
