long time since i last blogged. (been kind of busy)
I came a cross a nice little service called Nuevasync.
NuevaSync allows direct, over-the-air, native synchronization of certain phones with public PIM, and calendaring services including Google Calendar.
NuevaSync does not need any software installed on your device because it uses synchronization protocols that are already built in.
this means you can sync Google Calendar and contacts with your Iphone or ipod touch with out a pc or mac.
the process if very simple:
1. you enter Nuevasync web site here and sign up (it can be done from you pc or you mobile)

After processing this screen (with your real email)
you will get a confirmation email, press on the link in the email
the next step after you signed in to your account you will get this simple screen

Flow the instruction for both the Calendar and the Contacts until you see the green dots.
Now you are ready to setup your phone. (in this case an iphone running version 2.1)
- From the main menu screen open "Settings".
- Select "Mail, Contacts, Calendar".
- Select "Add Account".

- Choose "Microsoft Exchange"
- Under "Email", enter the e-mail address you used for NuevaSync registration.
- Under "Username" enter your NuevaSync username.
- Under "Password" enter your NuevaSync password.
- Under "Description" you can leave the default or enter a description of your choosing.
- Tap "Next".
- Your Apple device will display a message "Verifying Exchange account information" for a few moments.
- When it has finished, it will display a new field, "Server". Enter "www.nuevasync.com" as the value.
- Tap "Next".
- On the next page, turn off "Mail". Also turn off any other category you do not wish to sync. For example, if you want to sync only your calendar, make sure "Mail" and "Contacts" are both turned off. If you want to sync contacts and calendar, all you should turn off is mail.
- Tap "Save".
